(Hillsboro) Voters in the Hillsboro Fire Protection District turned down Fire Safe Community Proposition 24-7 during Tuesday’s General Municipal Election.
The prop was geared towards aiding the fire district in being able to fund additional full time firefighters and build a new station house in the future.
Hillsboro fire Chief Brian Gaudet says it’s disappointing, but they respect the voters decision.
Fire Safe Community Proposition 24-7 in Hillsboro was voted down by 516 votes compared to 445 yes votes.
