Walter Monroe McDowell, of Branson, formerly of Festus passed away July 22nd at the age of 94. He worked as a press operator for Alvie Manufacture Company until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, going on vacations, but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family. He was a member of Radiant Life Church.

He is survived by four sons; Marvin of Hillsboro, John of De Soto, Donny of Bonne Terre, Charles Wayne of Piedmont, five daughters; Mary McDowell of De Soto, Loretta Thompson of De Soto, Sharon McCauley of Rockaway Beach, Brenda Street of Branson, daughter, Linda Johnson of Festus, brothers; Harold McDowell of Georgia, Eugene McDowell of Fredericktown, sisters; Blanche Wilson of Farmington, eighteen grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services for Walter McDowell will be held Wednesday (7/29) morning at 10 at Radiant Life Church in Festus. Interment will follow in the Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Silva, Missouri.

Visitation will be Tuesday (7/28) evening from 5 until 8 at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahn Funeral Home Twin City Chapel, Festus, Missouri.
