West County Boys Basketball Gearing up for Conference Play
The West County Bulldogs boys basketball team has had an up and down season, but are looking to play their best basketball late in the season. The Bulldogs are 9-8, an coached by Chris Labruyere. He says his team struggled offensively earlier in the season, but practice has meant a lot for his team.

The Bulldogs only have three seniors on the roster in Lance Monroe, Carter Reed, and Garrison Turner. Labruyere says there have been lots of other contributors, particularly in the junior class.

As the calendar turns to February, conference play looms large. The Bulldogs have a tough stretch heading into next week’s MAAA tournament, playing four games in five days. West County faces Bismarck Tuesday evening, Saxony Lutheran on Wednesday, Arcadia Valley on Friday, and will appear in the first round of the MAAA tournament on Saturday.
