West County’s Star Junior Pitcher Dakota Dowd Earns Dream Team Nod

Junior pitcher Dakota Dowd for the West County Bulldogs rode a spotless record and an ERA under 1 this Spring to a Regional Radio Dream Team selection.
Dowd explains that he wasn’t even really aware of those numbers until the end of the year due to the fact that his head coach John Simily kept them under wraps.
And as Father’s Day approaches, Dowd gives credit to his Dad for his development as a pitcher.
As far as his favorite individual moments from the season, Dowd recalls the district semifinal matchup against fourth-ranked in state St. Pius, in which he threw a complete game shutout with 11 strikeouts.
Dakota Dowd will enter into his senior campaign next year at West County.
