Wet Road A Factor In Car Accident In Jefferson County Thursday Morning

(Jefferson County) Wet road conditions played a role in a car accident on Highway 21 in Jefferson County Thursday morning. 30-year-old Melissa Lawrence of DeSoto slid on the wet pavement on the Shady Valley interchange, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned. Lawrence’s 2012 GMC Yukon was totaled and she suffered moderate injuries. Lawrence was taken to Mercy Hospital South after the accident just after 6 o’clock Thursday morning.
