North County junior Kayleigh Winch continued what is turning into a dominant high school basketball career this past season, surpassing 1,000 career points scored and adding a second straight selection to the Regional Radio Dream Team to another all-conference and all-district selection. Winch found out she had again earned Dream Team honors after a soccer game.

Winch averaged about 14 points, 8-and-a-half rebounds and 2 blocks per game, and she says she’s not done taking her game to another level.

Winch is an excellent student with the ninth-best grade-point average in her class and stays busy as the class president, but she says she likes having a full plate of activities.

Winch is on the North County soccer team playing this spring and also plays volleyball in the fall. To hear the full interview with Kayleigh Winch, click below.
