Yates appointed to 23rd Judicial Circuit Court Associate Judge position

Missouri Governor Mike Parson didn’t wait too long to appoint a new Associate Judge in the 23rd Judicial Circuit. On Friday, the Governor appointed current Jefferson County Counselor Carl Wes Yates to fill the position left vacant after the appointment of Judge Shannon Dougherty the week before. Yates says he’s pleased to be chosen.

Yates does have prior experience as a judge in the 23rd Judicial Circuit.

Yates says he has some loose ends to take care of as he leaves the County Counselor position.

Yates has served as the Jefferson County Counselor since 2011, with the exception of the two years he spent as a judge.
