59th annual Turkey Call and Owl Hoot contest coming soon

(Festus) It’s back and just in time for spring turkey hunting season…the 59th annual Turkey Call and Owl Hoot contest at the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club. Ralph Duren is an award-winning animal impersonator. He says many of the previous winners of this contest have been elevated to great careers in the outdoors.

The 59th annual Turkey Call and Owl Hoot Contest will be held on Saturday, March 25th at the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club on Highway 61 with the doors opening at 5 pm and the contest starting at 6 pm. The age groups are 9 and under, 10 to 15, open, and professional. Pre-registration is required and those wanting to compete can contact Rhonda at (314) 550-6279 or call the club at (636) 933-0908.
