Alzheimer’s Task Force Being Formed

(Jefferson City) A statewide task force will be formed to review the state’s plan to overcome the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.

Governor Parson has signed a bill into law creating the 21-member group.

About 120-thousand Missourians are living with the disease.

The task force will assess the existing services and resources available for Alzheimer’s patients and their families and identify opportunities for Missouri to coordinate with federal agencies.

The task force must deliver a report to the governor and Legislature by June 2022 and add to the report annually.
