Audubon Trail in Ste. Genevieve County to Receive Improvements

(Avon) A trail managed by the U.S. Forest Service in Ste. Genevieve County will be getting repaired and improved after being damaged from the weather.

3The John J. Audubon Trail is located in Ste. Genevieve County at a ford where Mark Twain National Forest Road 2199 crosses Bildwell Creek.

The trail is named after the great 19th century naturalist and artist who visited this area on his wide-ranging bird collecting trips while he lived in Ste. Genevieve. Audubon passed away in 1851.
