Blake Coleman Named To Baseball Dream Team

(Potosi) Recent Potosi High School graduate Blake Coleman was named to the Regional Radio Baseball Dream Team. Coleman was a force on the mound, pitching in 14 games with a 3.23 ERA, and at the plate, hitting .413 for the Trojans. Coleman tells us how he shared the news about making the Dream Team.

There was one teammate in particular he was happy to share the news with.

Despite finishing the season with a sub-500 record, Potosi won the Class 4 District 2 championship over the state-ranked Central Rebels. Coleman says he felt good about his team going into that game.

Coleman had a .560 slugging percentage and a 1.054 OPS at the dish this season. He says his favorite hit came in the district tournament during his junior season.

Coleman only struck out five times in 87 plate appearances. On the mound, he stuck threw 52 innings and struck out 48 batters. Potosi went 11-12 this season.
