Buchheit-Courtway On House Bill 2471 “Brennan’s Law”

(JEFFERSON CITY, FESTUS) 115th District State Rep. Cyndi Buchheit-Courtway is hoping a bill she sponsored concerning Mental Health Efforts in Public Schools will get some movement soon. She says this bill also called “Brennan’s Law” will teach students the importance of mental health awareness starting in grade school moving forward.
Buchheit-Courtway says she received a lot of feedback from area groups and school districts to help with the language of the bill.
House Bill 2471 held a public hearing at the end of March and is currently referred to the Health and Mental Health Policy Committee.
