C3 D3 Championship on the Line with West County and St. Pius Set to Duel

(FESTUS) The West County and St. Pius baseball teams are playing at Jefferson R-7 for the Class 3 District 3 championship today on KJFF and KREI.

The West County Bulldogs enter the title game with a 15-4 record, fresh off a 4-0 semifinals victory over Saxony Lutheran on Monday. Head coach John Simily zeroes in on the aspects of the game his team needs to succeed at in order to be district champs again.

 
The 4th-ranked St. Pius Lancers will carry a 19-2 record into the district championship. It took them two days to defeat Arcadia Valley 4-3 in the semis because of a postponement Monday due to rain. Now with the focus on the Bulldogs, head coach Jerry Woods thinks he has the answer to beating them.
