Car Crash in Perry County Injures Arkansas Woman

(Perryville) A woman from Arkansas was injured early Wednesday morning in a one car crash in Perry County.

The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on I-55 southbound at mile marker 136 when a Nissan Sentra driven by 34-year-old Christopher Maxwell of West Memphis, Arkansas ran off the road and struck the median cable barriers.

Maxwell’s passanger, 37-year-old Lavonne Smith received moderate injuries and was taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville for treatment.
