Catalytic Converter Thefts Are Down in Jefferson County

(HILLSBORO) While stolen vehicle cases have significantly dropped over the last year, so has the number of thefts of catalytic converters. Lieutenant Matt Moore heads the Jefferson County Detective Bureau. He says the numbers reported at the start of December resulted in quite a drop.
Lieutenant Moore says several people came together to help in this effort.
Catalytic converter thefts have dropped significantly across the entire country, down nearly 50 percent from 2022.
