(Ste. Genevieve) The 3-3 Central Rebels will travel to the 2-2 Valle Catholic Warriors on Friday for an end-of-the-week matchup.

The Rebels will play their second game of the week, both being on the road, as they went to St. Pius on Wednesday and lost 59-48. Last week, Central earned third place in the Gene Steighorst Tournament.

Head coach Adam Barton thinks the key going forward will be building consistency game in and game out.

Central has won four consecutive district titles and are relying heavily on three players who have been active participants in that streak for the 2018-19 campaign.

On the side of the Warriors, this will be their third game in three days. They have split two road games so far, losing to Fredericktown but defeating Herculaneum, and now return home to aim for a winning record on the week. With three returning starters on the roster, Valle Catholic head coach Tyler Search has high hopes for his team this year.

Coach Search believes his team will give themselves their best chance to win tonight (Friday) if they focus on attacking the basket and not settling for three-pointers.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show beginning at 7:15 on J-98.
