Central falls to Eureka in Steighorst Invite championship on J98

The Central Rebels just didn’t have an answer for the Eureka Wildcats and fell 66-48 Saturday in the Steighorst Invitational championship game on J98.

Central fell behind early thanks to one of Eureka’s many senior stars.

Trace Ruckman finished with 21 points to lead the Wildcats on their way to a third straight Steighorst title and a 3-0 start to the season.

Central freshman Jobe Bryant finished with a game high 23 points, but it would not be enough to keep the Rebels from falling to 4-1.

Central will be back in action Friday when they visit Valle Catholic.
