Central Girls Basketball Defeats St. Vincent, 60-40
The Central girls basketball team got a big win over St. Vincent Thursday night. The Lady Rebels started hot with a 19-0 scoring run in the first quarter, and pushed the pedal throughout the entire game.

Populus finished the game with 6 points for Central. Alyssa O’Connor led the Lady Rebels with 15 points, Khloe Dischbein added 11, and Taylor O’Connor scored 12. St. Vincent was led in scoring by Rylee Robinson, who had 10 points.
Central led by as many as 30 points, but a solid second half effort cut the lead to 20. The Lady Rebels would go on to win 60-40. Central head coach Aaron Tyree says he was proud of his defense.

St. Vincent falls to 4-3 and is off until January. Central improves to 4-1 on the year. Their next opponent is Helias Catholic, who they’ll play on Saturday.
