Central’s Hulsey Signed to Continue Softball Career at Three Rivers

(Park Hills) The Central Rebels softball team has been one of the most dominant in the area over the past decade and has had an assortment of talented players come through the program.

One of those players has been middle infielder Jessica Hulsey, who recently signed to continue her softball career with Three Rivers Community College.

She says she chose to play for the Raiders because it felt like home.

Hulsey has done plenty of winning in her time playing with Central softball.

Over her first two seasons, the team went 39-10 and reached the spring season state championship in 2018.

She has had the chance to play for two different coaches with the Rebels, Brian Wallen for the first few seasons, and now Taylor Geile, who was previously an assistant with the program.

Hulsey says they have both been great to play for.

Like virtually every spring sport athlete across the country, Hulsey lost out on her junior season last year when high school athletics were brought to a halt due to the ongoing pandemic.

As she prepares for her final season this spring, Hulsey says the motivation and expectations are as high as ever after losing out on last year.

Over her first two seasons with the Central softball team, Hulsey carries a .384 batting average with 19 doubles, 5 triples, 56 runs scored, and 61 RBI.

She has twice been named 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-Region and was named 2nd Team All-State in 2018.
