City of Festus working on annual budget

(Festus) The City of Festus is in the process on working on its annual budget for the next fiscal year.

The city council had an opportunity to take a look at the preliminary budget plans during last weeks council meeting.

City Administrator Greg Camp says there will be a work session in early September along with two city council meetings that month for the council to finalize the details.

The new budget also includes funding for new equipment for various city departments.

The annual budget for the City of Festus takes effect on October 1st.
