Class 2 District 4 Basketball Tournament begins Tuesday
(CALEDONIA) The Class 2 District 4 boys basketball tournament begins Tuesday  at Valley High School. Five schools from the listening area will compete to continue their seasons. The 15-10 St. Vincent Indians are the top seed, and have a night off tonight. Head Coach Bruce Valleroy says the Indians are ready for the challenges that come with being the number one seed.

2-seed and host Valley Caledonia is 12-13 and takes on the 7-seed Viburnum Blue Jays, who are still looking for their first win of the season. Valley head coach Jacob Bollinger says the district is wide open.

The winner between Valley and Viburnum will play the winner between 3-seed Brentwood and 6-seed New Haven. Crystal City is seeded fourth with a 9-16 record, and will play the 5-seed Bismarck Indians this evening, who are 8-14. Bismarck head coach Brett Hale says the district is wide open.

The Hornets are coached by Phil Tessereau. Their sub-par record is due in part to injuries, but Crystal City is healthy again and wants to avenge their prior losses.

The winner of Crystal City and Bismarck will play St. Vincent on Thursday. We’ll broadcast both of Thursday’s semifinal games on J-98 the Boot with coverage beginning at 5:45.
