Court cases moving along in Jefferson County

(Hillsboro) Several court cases and even jury trials have resumed in the 23rd Judicial Circuit in Jefferson County recently. The courts in Hillsboro are now operating at Phase 3. Captain Brian Taylor with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the jail. He says they have quite a list of precautions to take when moving those inmates from the jail to the courthouse.

Captain Taylor says there have been some very important purchases that have helped the process as well.

The jail count this week at the Jefferson County jail was between 250 and 260 inmates.
