Crystal City schools rebounding after rough start to the school year

(Crystal City) Things are starting to look up in the Crystal City School District after a rough start to the school year with multiple staff and students out with COVID-19 or on quarantine.

Superintendent Matt Holdinghausen says the beginning of the school year was a little hectic but things have since calmed down.

With the mask requirement in effect in the Crystal City School District the current number of students out with COVID is 2 with 5 others out on quarantine.

Unfortunately due to the high number of coronavirus cases earlier this year, a number of sporting events had to be cancelled.

Crystal City’s homecoming was held last week.

According to Holdinghausen, all homecoming related festivities like the parade, football game and dance went off without a hitch and everyone had fun during those events.
