DeSoto man injured in motorcycle accident

(Hillsboro) A DeSoto man was injured in a motorcycle accident Monday night. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 39-year old Wayne Wright was driving a 2000 Harley Davidson on the ramp from southbound Highway 21 to old Highway 21 and changed lanes from the left turn lane to the right turn lane and began to skid, traveled off the right side of the road, then returned to the road and partially overturned ejecting Wright. Wright was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. The accident took place around 7:20 Monday night. Wright was later charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Careless and Imprudent Driving.
