Dunklin R-5 Proposition Safe Schools passes

(Herculaneum, Pevely) The Dunklin R-5 School District is all smiles after Proposition Safe Schools was overwhelmingly passed by the voters during Tuesday’s election. Dunklin Superintendent Dr. Clint Freeman was very happy with the support of the residents.

Dr. Freeman says one of the planned improvements will be to make the elementary and middle schools safer and more secure.

Other improvements include better facilities for school activities and athletics.

And finally, there will be the creation of a district warehouse, as well as lighting and sound improvements to the high school theater. Proposition Safe Schools in the Dunklin R-5 School District passed with a vote of 1028 yes votes compared to just 323 no votes.
