(STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo.) – It was a Valle Catholic Warrior taking home the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week Award this week after senior quarterback Chase Dunlap led his football team to a Class 1 state championship Saturday over Lincoln.

Dunlap went 14 of 20 passing in the state title game for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns.

He also carried the ball 19 times for 100 yards.

Dunlap tells us the team had to overcome some adversity, but eventually got the job done.

Dunlap also had to handle some personal adversity during the playoff run because of a knee injury.

Thanks to the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy, Dunlap gets to choose a non-profit to have $25 donated to in his name.

The senior will have his donation go to a Valle Catholic School in house program to support Miles Woodward.

Miles is a fellow student-kindergartner at Valle who is currently fighting leukemia.

Along with being Athlete of the Week, Dunlap also received a Play It Forward t-shirt and a certificate.
