Farmington Attorney Challenges St. Francois County Health Department Mask Mandate

(Farmington) An attorney from Farmington is challenging the authority of the St. Francois County Health Department and the scope of its mask mandate for the county.

Tom Burcham represents a a group of businesses and individuals who are opposed to the mandate.

Burcham asserts the health department board of directors has acted in an illegal capacity.

Burcham says the St. Francois County Health Center has responded to him and that the health department board will meet again Monday morning at 10 to decide what to do if anything.

Burcham says if a new mask mandate is passed for St. Francois County, he and his clients will look at its content and determine their next move.
