Farmington Baseball Downs Potosi 5-1; Wins Third in a Row
(POTOSI) The Farmington Knights baseball team used a strong second inning to cruise to a 5-1 road win over the Potosi Trojans Tuesday evening. A bunt from Farmington’s Aiden Redmond led to the first score of the game.

Farmington would jump out to a 4-0 lead, but Potosi tried to rally back in the bottom of the sixth. A bunt and stolen base attempt led to Aiden Ricketts scoring the lone Trojan run and the second out of the inning. Knights pitcher Ty Wampler would strike out EJ Sancegraw on the following at-bat, which would halt the Potosi comeback attempt.
The Knights would hold on to win with the help of another run in the 7th. Wampler pitched a no-hitter and struck out five batters. It was Wampler’s first start of three season. Farmington manager Logan Winder was pleased with his entire pitching rotation.

Farmington is now 12-7 and on a three-game win streak. Potosi slips to 4-5 on the season.
