Farmington Baseball Expecting Turnaround Season

(Farmington) Along with a number of other area teams, the Farmington baseball squad will start the 2019 season Friday in the Valle Ameritime Opening Day Tournament. The Knights are coming off a 7-18 season last year, but much of that youthful roster is back this season. Coach Scott Hibbits says he has both quality and quantity on the pitching staff..

In addition to pitching some, senior Chad Silvy will be the primary catcher.

Hibbits says there is brisk competition to earn spots in the field with a wide array of reliable gloves in the mix..

Hibbits says his lineup should have some more power this year..

The Knights lost nine games last year by three runs or less. Hibbits expects that to turn around this year.
