Farmington Football to Host Central for Regular Season Finale
The Farmington Knights football team returns home for their regular season finale against the Central Rebels on Thursday. The Knights are now 4-4 after a 42-0 loss to Festus and the Rebels enter the contest at 5-3 after a 44-10 win over Dexter. Both teams have faced the adversity of a tough schedule and key injuries.
The Rebels have been good on offense and defense, but have some issues to work out on special teams. Central head coach Kory Schweiss says that the team has had to adjust their practices with the obstacles of a short week and a tricky Farmington offensive scheme.

Farmington has been battling the injury bug lately, most notably at the quarterback position. Senior quarterback and corner Brett Drye has been battling an ankle injury for several weeks, and not having him has impacted both sides of the ball. In addition to the injuries, Knights coach Eric Kruppe says guarding the athletes at Central will be a challenge.

The Farmington Knights take on the Central Rebels Thursday at 7. You can listen to that game on AM-800 KREI.
