(Arcadia Valley) The Farmington Knights girls notched an MAAA win over Arcadia Valley Monday night on the road 49-43 on J-98. The Lady Tigers came out running by scoring the first six points on their fast break.

Farmington recovered and took the lead into the locker room behind McKenna Moore.

Moore led the Knights with 16 points.

Farmington took it’s biggest lead as reserve Abby Cassimatis strung together three buckets in a row.

AV trailed by 14 early in the fourth, but went on a 13-3 run to make it a four point game late. Farmington hit free throws down the stretch and the Tigers never had a possession where they could tie or take the lead.

Farmington head coach Rusty Sancegraw thought it was an all out effort from McKenna Moore.

Sancegraw also thought that Abby Cassimatis gave them a burst of energy.

Gracee Smith scored 18 for Arcadia Valley. The Tigers fall to 2-2 and play Cape Central on Thursday. The Knights are now 3-2 and host DeSoto Thursday.
