Festus Blues and Funk Festival Coming up

(Jefferson County) Back in July an intense heat wave canceled the “Blues and Funk Festival” sponsored by the Festus Tourism Commission.
Fortunately, the “Dr. Zhivegas” band, the “Techno Bubble Bus” and various food trucks were all able to reschedule for the date of Saturday October 15th at Crites Park.
Barb Lowry, is the Director of Tourism and Recreation for the City of Festus and she believes this make-up date will work out fine.
According to the Festus City website “Dr. Zhivegas” has promised to do one set that is jam packed with their Tribute to Prince!
If you plan to attend, Lowry advises you to bring lawn chairs, and reminds attendees that coolers are not allowed.
