Festus Boys Escape Farmington With a Win on J-98

(Farmington) The Festus boys never trailed, but they were forced to sweat it out in a 75-72 victory at Farmington on J-98. Festus jumped out to to an eight point lead at 15-7 and pushed it to 12 in the second quarter. Farmington had it down to five at the end of the third setting up an exciting conclusion.

Cannon Roth led the Knights with 22 with 18 coming in the second half. The Knights scored 32 4th quarter points. Justus Boyer drilled three threes with the final one making it a one point game…

Boyer finished with 14 points. Farmington freshman Cooper Tripp scored 12.
Festus scored 30 points in the 4th quarter and made just enough free throws to secure the win.

Festus improves to 15-3 and hosts DeSoto Friday. Farmington falls to 7-11 and hosts Central Friday.
