Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge flag dedication ceremony

Earlier this year, the Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge placed a huge American flag on their property. The Elks will be holding an official dedication ceremony on Monday which is Columbus Day. Buddy Shadowens is the current Exalted Ruler of Lodge #1721. He says the process to get this flag and pole started a few years ago.

Shadowens says everyone is welcome to come out to the dedication and they are encouraging all local veterans and other veteran organizations to attend.

The flag dedication ceremony at the Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge will be held Monday morning starting at 11. In case of a large crowd, those attending should bring lawn chairs and be mindful of weather conditions.
