Festus has one contested council race in April election

(Festus) The April General Municipal election takes place next Tuesday. There will be little change to the Festus City Council as there will be only one contested race. City Administrator Greg Camp says a long-time member of the council is stepping down, which prompted two candidates to run for the position.

All other wards up for re-election on the Festus City Council are uncontested races, Brian Wehner in ward 2, Bobby Venz in ward 3, and Jim Tinnin in ward 4. The April election takes place on Tuesday.
