Festus’ Luke Shaver caps dominant wrestling season with Dream Team nod

(Festus, Mo.) Festus junior Luke Shaver had one of the most dominant seasons in Jefferson County high school wrestling. His third-place finish in the state in Class 3 in the 170-pound weight class were good enough to earn a spot on the Regional Radio Dream Team. Shaver says he’s able to achieve such big things because he’s extremely driven.
Shaver went 51-2 and won 4 different tournaments, but he wants to come home from Columbia with a state title next season.
But the here and now is full of great accomplishments for Shaver, and he has plenty of people he’d like to thank.
Shaver says he plans on wrestling up in weight class next year.
