Festus’ Rickermann rewrites record books in another football Dream Team season

(Festus) Cole Rickermann will leave his football career with the Festus Tigers as perhaps the program’s most elite passer.

In his senior season, the quarterback set a single-season school record for passing yards, and it helped him earn his way back to the Regional Radio Dream Team.

Rickermann threw for 2,651 yards in 11 games this season, bringing his career total to just under 5,500 yards.

But he says earning this latest accolade proves the grind is worth it.

Rickerman completed just under 68% of his pass attempts, throwing 27 touchdowns against only 3 interceptions.

He says growing in the mental aspect of playing the QB position is what allowed him to have that sort of success.

Rickermann finishes his career with 61 passing TDs.

But there were plenty of people who he says proved essential in his journey.

Rickermann was a two-time MAFC Red Divison Offensive Player of the Year.
