Festus School Board Approves New Sports Complex

(Festus) At its most recent meeting, the Festus School Board of Education voted 7-0 in favor of building a new sports complex on the school campus.

Specifically the complex will be built in the large field behind the new high school parking lot.

Festus schools Superintendent Dr. Link Luttrell overviews the project.

Dr. Luttrell adds the sports complex will benefit other school sports other than baseball or softball.

The cost of the project was approved for $1,664,300.

According to Dr. Luttrell they hope to have the sports complex ready for use by the fall of the 2021-2022 school year.
