Festus schools name new Assistant Superintendent and Middle School Principal

(Festus) The Festus R-6 School District has named the new Assistant Superintendent for Business Services and Personnel. Last (Thursday) night, the Board of Education voted unanimously to hire Jonathan Earnhart to fill that position. Festus Superintendent Dr. Link Luttrell says Mr. Earnhart has a great deal of experience at many levels of education.

Mr. Earnhart will officially begin his new position on July 1st. He currently has been serving as Superintendent with the Crawford County R-2 School District in Cuba since 2017. Earnhart will replace outgoing Assistant Superintendent Nathan Holder, who accepted a similar position with the Lee’s Summit School district located near Kansas City.

The Festus School also announced the next Assistant Principal at Festus Middle School. The board voted unanimously to hire Matt Boyer for that position. Mr. Boyer has a Master’s in Educational Administration and a Bachelor’s of Science Elementary Education from Missouri Baptist University. Since 2018, he has been Principal at Lincoln Intermediate Center in the Farmington School District.
