(FESTUS) Festus Tiger pitcher Charlie Pratt will be continuing his baseball career at St. Louis Community College. Pratt’s familiarity with the program influenced his decision.

The Archers are getting a right-hander whose career pitching numbers in high school include 73 innings, 82 strikeouts and a 3.06 earned run average. His 2019 stats earned him a spot on the JCAA Large Schools All-Conference First Team.

Michael Brewer from Hillsboro, of course, and Chase Beard of Windsor are the other 1st team members.

In sharing a memory from his playing days at Festus, Charlie tells the story of when head Jeff Montgomery put him on the varsity squad as a sophomore and had him pitch for the first time.

Charlie Pratt will pitch for the Festus Post 253 Senior Legion team this summer before going up to St. Louis Community College. Former St. Louis Cardinal third baseman and current Los Angeles Dodger David Freese is an Archer alumnus.
