(PARK HILLS, Mo.) The Class 3, District 2 volleyball tournament finished up with the semifinals and finals on Tuesday night.

The first semifinal round saw one-seeded Festus taking on the four seed in North County.

After comfortably taking the first set by a tally of 25-16, Festus fell behind for most of the second set. They rallied late however to capture the match in a sweep by a final score in the second of 26-24.

The next semifinal saw two-seeded Central dominate the three seed in Windsor by a tally of 25-13, 25-14 to advance to the championship match.

About 30 minutes later, the Festus Tigers and the Central Rebels met in a heavyweight matchup on the volleyball court for the district championship.
Festus controlled the match and won 25-17, 25-14 to capture the crown and make it to sectionals on Saturday.

Festus head coach Karen Behle thought everything came together against the Rebels.

Central head coach Tracie Casey loved the effort from her squad despite it spelling the end of their season.
