Festus using Cares Act funding for safety upgrades

(Festus) The City of Festus is taking advantage of the Cares Act funds to do some upgrades to the city facilities. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says the city council made a decision earlier this week to make changes to their HVAC systems at all city buildings.

Camp says they did receive some of those funds for previous expenditures from the county.

Camp says the Water Authority facility will also be getting some upgrades.

The changes to the HVAC system should be in place sometime in November. The Water Authority changes should also be in place by the end of the year.
