Festus Wins at Home on Senior Night, 42-0 Over Farmington
(FESTUS)    The Festus Tigers used three touchdowns from Hayden Bates, one for 63 yards as they won on Senior Night over Farmington 42-0.  Brady Nolen got the Tigers on the scoreboard early on a 23 yard carry that came at 10:43 in the first quarter.
Bates scored his first TD of the night from one yard out in the first half to make the score 14-0 and that was the way it stood at halftime.

With 10:56 to play in the 3rd quarter, Bates hustled in from 33 yards out, Luke Whacker’s extra point was good and the Tigers had a 21-0 lead.

Landen Yates caught a four yard pass at 7:18 left in the third quarter, the kick was no good and the Tigers had a 27-0 lead.  At 2:43 in the third quarter,

Hayden Bates scored on a 67 yard carry which turned out to be the Festus Steak and Shake “Shake Up Play of the Game.”  The two point conversion run by Jeremiah Cunningham was successful and the Tigers led 35-0.

The Tigers got on the board again with 5:29 left in the game when Leaunte Williams scampered into the endzone from 23 yards out.  Luke Whacker’s kick was good and that made the final score 42-0.

Festus head coach A.J. O’Fodile said it took the Tigers a while to get going.

According to O’Fodile, the players have been excited to play lately.

Farmington head coach Eric Krupee said his team fought hard in the first half.

Krupee says they have a short week to get ready to play their next opponent, the Central Rebels.

The Tigers are now (6-2) and will host Jackson next Friday.  The Knights slip to (4-4) and will host the Central Rebels on Thursday.  That game will be broadcast on on KREI 800Am and mymoinfo.com
