Festus Wrestler Lauren Mills is Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(FESTUS)    Festus wrestler Lauren Mills, a senior who wrestles at 125 and is ranked 2nd in the state is the “Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week”. She had a very successful weekend at the Fort Zumwalt East Invitational according to Festus head coach Jarad Sheppard.

Sheppard says Lauren is a good leader.

According to Sheppard, Mills did not get into wrestling until high school.

Sheppard says he is looking forward to see how well Lauren does in the upcoming “Wonder Woman Tournament” December 29th and 30th at Battle High School in Columbia. It is perhaps the largest girls tournament in the Midwest with each weight class featuring a bracket of 64 wrestlers. For being named the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week Lauren receives a free entree at Applebee’s, a certificate and a T-Shirt.
