(Jefferson County) First Assistant Prosecutor Travis Partney of the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office joined the sheriff’s report this week on KJFF to talk about various roles and duties his office handles.
Partney says they have multiple prosecutors that deal with various cases that come in.
Partney mentions why it’s so important to have prosecutors trained in specialized areas.
The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is comprised of four separate and distinct units.
These units are the: Main Criminal Division; Victim Services Unit; Bad Check/Delinquent Tax Unit; and Child Support Unit.
