(HILLSBORO) Grandview’s Owen Johnson rode state qualifications in the pole vault and 110-meter hurdles to a Dream Team selection in his final track and field season.

Head Coach Michael Loyd offered kind words about Owen saying, “He will be successful because of his ability, his grit and his work ethic on the finer details of our sport. He embodies what this sport can produce. We are lucky to have had him on our team.” Owen appreciates his coach’s words.

In addition to his 2018 state qualifications in the pole vault and 110-meter hurdles, Grandview’s Owen Johnson finishes his high school career as a 2018 Sectional champ in the pole vault and 110-meter hurdles, a 2017 All-State Pole Vaulter, and a 2016 and ’17 state qualifier in the 110-meter hurdles.
