Four-Car Crash In Washington County Sends An Elderly Woman To The Hospital

(Washington County) A car crash involving four vehicles in Washington County Thursday sent an elderly woman from Potosi to the hospital. According to highway patrol, 81-year-old Ileen Kimes was eastbound on Missouri 8 in her 2019 Nissan Rogue when she ran into the back of a 2019 Ford F-150 driven by 46-year-old Raymond Swaringim of Middle Brook. This collision resulted in two more cars being hit: a 2005 Ford F-150 driven by 31-year-old Taryn Ives of Potosi and a 2017 GMC Terrain driven by 47-year-old Sheri Eye of Potosi. Kimes was taken to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries and her car was totaled. The other three drivers were not injured and all drove their cars from the scene.
