Four Injured in Two Vehicle Crash in Ste. Genevieve County

(St. Mary) Four people were injured, one seriously, after a two vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Ste. Genevieve County.

According to the Highway Patrol, the accident took place on Highway 61, just south of ‘J’ Highway when a Dodge Durango driven by 42-year-old Michael Delay of Chester, Illinois crossed the centerline and struck a Ford Ranger driven by 70-year-old Stephen Laird of Park Hills.

Both vehicles then ran off the road and overturned.

Laird was seriously injured and was flown to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Delay and two passengers, 21-year-old Nicholas and 17-year-old Gavin Delay each received minor injuries.

They were taken to Memorial Hospital in Chester.
