#6 Fredericktown Boys Basketball Set for Class 3 District 2 Battle with #2 Kelly Tonight on the MyMoInfo SportsStream

(Fredericktown, Mo.) The Fredericktown Blackcats moved on in the Class 3 District 2 tournament this past weekend and get a date with the #2 seed Kelly Hawks in the semi finals tonight at 7:30 on the MyMoInfo SportsStream.

The Blackcats defeated fellow MAAA opponent Arcadia Valley in the quarterfinals 63-48 to move to 12-13 on the season.

It was the second time in four games the Blackcats had face the Tigers and  head coach Joaby Sikes says they didn’t try anything fancy.

The Kelly Hawks defeated West County 69-35 to move on in the tournament.

The Hawks come in to the match up 18-9 on the season. Head coach Joaby Sikes of Fredericktown says the Hawks will be tough.

This will be the first meeting between these two teams in school history.

The winner will move on to the championship of the Class 3 District 2 tournament to face the winner of #1 Scott City and #4 Saxony Lutheran on Friday, February 28th at 7:30.
