Gateway Grizzlies Manager Phil Warren Talks Coaching Staff, Can-Am Merger, and 2020 Season

(SAUGET, Illinois) The Gateway Grizzlies of the independent Frontier League have added a couple of new faces to the coaching staff under 14th-year Field Manager Phil Warren. One of the additions is the former manager of the now-defunct River City Rascals, Steve Brook, who led the Rascals to two Frontier League titles during his 10-year reign.

Warren is looking forward to having Brook as the new Grizzlies pitching coach.

The other addition to the Grizzlies staff is Bobby Brown as Director of Player Personnel. During the offseason, the Frontier League and the Canadian-American League, or Can-Am League, merged and kept the Frontier League name. Warren is absolutely a fan of the move.

The teams from the Can-Am League that are now part of the Frontier League are the Sussex County Miners, Quebec Capitales, Trois-Rivieres Aigles, New Jersey Jackals, and the New York Boulders.

Opening Day 2020 for the Gateway Grizzlies is Thursday, May 14th at GCS Credit Union Ballpark in Sauget, Illinois against the Evansville Otters. You can listen to Grizzlies games again this season on mymoinfo.com.
